Hydrogen energy – a future source of energy

European Commission Joint Research Centre (JRC) Institute for Energy, in cooperation with UNIDO International Centre for Hydrogen Energy Technologies has organized the Summer School on „Proton Exchange Membrane (PEM) Fuel Cells Applications and Integration”, during 19-23 July 2010.The Summer School was organized at the Technical University of Istanbul. The objective of participation in the programme was to study the possibilities of application of Proton Exchange Membrane Fuell Cells for energy generation, as well as the experience of other countries in the area of hydrogen energy.Particular benefit from participation in the Summer School Programme is in obtaining knowledge on fundamentals of material science and electrochemistry applied to PEM fuel cells.Particular attention was given to application and system integration.
