Presentation of the project " UN-UNDP Low Emmission Capacity Building Programme- Moldova”.

The project was launched Project Appraisal Committee meeting on 8 July 2013 local conference room of the Ministry of Environment.

Aim of the project is made ​​effective contribution to consideration the phenomenon of "climate change" in the planning, development and impementare policy.

As expected results of the project were designated as follows:

• Establishment of the national emission inventory of greenhouse gas emissions.

• Formulate appropriate mitigation actions of four nationally (in Engl.NAMAs) in the context of national sustainable development priorities and requirements internationally supported NAMAs.

• Create a system for monitoring, reporting and verification (MRV) actions nationally appropriate mitigation actions (NAMAs) and low carbon development strategy (SDER) of the Republic of Moldova until 2020.

Project implementation period (July 2013-April 2016).The project budget is determined in the amount of U.S.$ 642,000.National Implementation Partner`s Office and the Ministry of Environment Climate Change and the World - UNDP Moldova.Donors of the project are the European Union, the Federal Republic of Germany and the Government of Australia.

It is expected that the selection of enforcement actions will be planned based on competition and these contests will be able to participate in various institutions, including those of a public institution.
