International Projects – Actual Results.

A delegation from Science and Technology Centre in Ukraine (STCU) has visited the Institute of Power Engineering of Academy of Sciences of Moldova on September 19, 2011.The objective of the scientific visit was to discuss the results of international Project „Development, realisation and testing of the sample of high-speed phase shift transformer with thyristor control”, carried out by the Institute of Power Engineering of Academy of Sciences of Moldova.

The Director of the Project, Dr.Vladimir Berzan have presented the results of research, paying attention to innovative elements of proposed technical solutions, as well as possibilities to construct of a transformer with regulated phase shifting.

New schemes proposed by scientists provide essential decreasing of energy equipment weight.These solutions ensure a higher rate between installed capacity and transfer capacity through the equipment.For example, for baseline scheme of prototype equipment the rate between capacities is from 2.15 to 1.6-1.82.

A major interest presents variants of equipment development with utilization of battery of capacitors that forms an additional area of electric circuit.It was demonstrated mathematically the possibility to realise of such an equipment that will allow to reach the value of coefficient between installed capacity of exciting transformer and of transformer connected in series, less than one.

To be mentioned as well, about existence of the possibility to obtain a patent for proposed solutions, including by addressing a request to Euro - Asian system of Patents.

Representatives from STCU mentioned the importance of applied research performed, results correspond to Work plan, as well as a good level of organisation of research activities in the framework of the Project.
