Astana Energy Ministerial Conference and Eighth International Forum on Energy for Sustainable Development
A delegate from the Institute of Power Engineering of Academy of Sciences of Moldova participated in the Energy Ministerial Conference (http://energyministerial.kz/) and Eighth International Forum on Energy for Sustainable Development, held in Astana, Kazakhstan on 11-14 June 2017. This was the largest in scale (over 1,000 participants) and richest in content event in the history of the International Forum, that started 8 years ago also in Astana in 2010.
The Ministerial Conference adopted the Ministerial Statement: http://energyministerial.kz/906/uploads/2016/10/declaration_eng_print_ADOPTED.pdf.
It is a non-binding outcome document based on the ministerial dialogues held to enhance the understanding of sustainable energy and possible policy drivers to achieve a common goal on sustainable energy, promote a policy dialogue and provide awareness-raising of different outcomes that could emerge over time.
Participation in Energy Efficiency Track of the Forum included the following workshops on 12-14 June:
- Energy Efficiency in Buildings: Framework Guidelines (12 June)
- Aligning Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Policies (12 June)
- Creating the Business Case for Energy Efficiency: Engaging Governments with Industry (13 June)
- Towards Smart Sustainable Cities – Integrated Approaches (14 June 2017)
